FAQ.

Do I need a partner to use Conduction?

No. Every app is open source, EUPL-1.2, free to install from the Nextcloud app store. A partner helps when you want a managed rollout, training, or an SLA. Most MKB customers install themselves and only call a partner if they hit a wall.

Is the source actually open?

Yes. Every line of code we ship is on GitHub under EUPL-1.2. Issues, releases, roadmap discussions, all public. Fork it, audit it, run a private build, submit pull requests. The day you uninstall is as easy as the day you installed.

Who pays for hosting?

You do, on your own Nextcloud. Conduction does not run your data, period. For public-sector clients we offer Managed Common Ground+ on a Cyso-hosted tenant (€250 per component per month), but that's an opt-in service, not a default. Your data, your jurisdiction.

If the apps are free, what does support cost?

Whatever the partner you pick charges. Conduction sets no minimum and takes no commission. Some partners do hourly (€95–€140), some sell retainers, some do fixed-price implementation projects. The partner directory shows each partner's typical engagement model.

Can a partner from another country work with my organisation?

Yes. Partners aren't restricted by geography. Country is a hint in the directory, not a fence. A Friese MKB partner can work with a Brabants ziekenhuis if the fit is right.

What's the certification process for partners?

One certified engineer has to complete the per-app practicals (deploy, configure, debug). Certifications are app-specific. Certified on DocuDesk doesn't make you Certified on OpenRegister. We retest every twelve months as the apps evolve.
