Why we built it this way

Every email is a status update

Most signatures are write-once-and-forget: name, role, four contact lines, never touched again. Ours has a "nu:" line that says what you're focused on this week. Three sentences of effort, every email becomes current.

"nu:" status line. One sentence, refreshed each Monday: "OpenRegister-schema voor Acme BV, sprint W17". Updates the recipient on what you're up to without a separate email.
Hex avatar with monogram. 56×64px, cobalt fill, 3-4 letter monogram. No headshot needed; works for new team members without a photo, doesn't get blocked by image-loading rules.
Contact lines as a CLI. Each line prefixed with an orange "$" prompt. The signature reads like a terminal session, recognisable as Conduction at a glance.
2px cobalt left border on the body. A vertical brand stripe, prints visually even when most CSS is stripped. Outlook respects border styles on table cells, this is the safe way to add a brand mark.
Inline styles, no <style> block. Outlook and Gmail strip stylesheets; only inline survives. Every cell, every span, has its declarations on the element itself, ugly to edit, robust to render.
Plex Mono with system fallbacks. Menlo / Consolas / monospace cascade. Where Plex Mono isn't installed (most Outlook installs), the contact lines still look code-mono.
One orange accent. The "$" prompt, the "nu:" panel, and a small terracotta tint. Brand-consistent without screaming.
Footer line in mono and small caps. "conduction.nl · AGPL/MIT · Zoetermeer". Three signals: where to find us, what licence we ship under, where we sit. Tiny but distinctive.
